Duša Vuković
Professor of Computer Science at the Mathematical and Computer Science Gymnasiums in Belgrade. Instructor for the Oracle Academy’s international training programs for teachers in database and Java programming courses. Holds the title of Pedagogical Advisor. One of the authors of the curriculum for classes for students with special abilities in computer science and informatics, which is used in over 50 classes in high schools throughout Serbia. Trains teachers and creates electronic textbooks for teachers and students in Database and Object-Oriented Programming (Education Improvement Institute).
Author of several programming books, including two approved textbooks for high schools in the subject of Computer Science and Informatics in the third and fourth grade. Award winner: Creative School 2008/09, Serbia – second prize in the high school category for the project “Modern technologies in practical application of theoretical knowledge and teamwork of students” and European Forum of Innovative Teachers, Microsoft, 2008, Croatia – third prize in the collaboration category for the project “Exploring Science through Blogging” and participation in the World Forum of Innovative Teachers – Microsoft, Hong Kong, China.
For 25 years, the Oracle Academy has been promoting computer science worldwide to encourage the acquisition of new knowledge, skills development, innovation, and diversity in technology.
This lecture will present ways of collaborating with primary, secondary, and tertiary schools, as well as curricula that are available to teachers free of charge through this collaboration.
A major innovation since 2020 is the new modern system Member Hub at the same well-known address academy.oracle.com, which offers members a variety of options. Access to quality courses in databases and Java programming has been improved. Teachers can undergo various professional development training independently, at times that suit them. Working with students has been improved in several ways, the most significant of which is the ability to organize students into different groups for teaching and learning.
Selected Oracle tools can be used for teaching for free, and students can receive internationally recognized certificates, including in the subject of Databases in IT departments in high schools throughout Serbia, as well as other schools with modern computer subjects.
