Violeta Majski
Violeta Majski is an MSc in Computer Science and Technology, with 19 years of experience as a computer science and technology teacher at “D. Obradović” elementary school in Sombor, and 11 years as a computer science teacher at “P. Konjović” secondary school in Sombor. She is the author and coordinator of the workshops “Science Day in Dositej” and a participant in the international Festival of Science “Fizi Bizi Fest” in Sombor. She celebrates Code Week, Museum Night, Intelligence Day, Safer Internet Day, and other events with her students. She was a coordinator of the school in projects “For the Purity of Language”, “In the World of Children’s Games”, “Safe Click for the Safety of All”, and “The Role of the School in the Prevention and Stopping of Digital Violence”. She is the coordinator of the Erasmus+ projects team at the elementary school. Currently, she is still active in the KA1 teacher mobility project “Teach me – I will teach you”. She is a member of several working groups at ZUOV for teacher training in recent years. She is the president of the Informatics Teacher Section of the Western Backa District (DIS), a member of DPTKS, a participant in the project “2,000 Digital Classrooms” by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and ZUOV, and a certified trainer for Digital Classroom/Digital Competent Teacher and Digital Competence Development. She is the author of the papers “Application of ICT in Teaching – Scientists” and “Application of ICT in Teaching – Working with Formulas” (Digital Lesson Proceedings 2015/2016), co-author of the paper “Sombor – My City” (Learned at the Seminar and Applied in Practice), and co-author of the paper “Research on Achievement and Learning Motivation of Textual Programming Language among Elementary School Students in the Republic of Serbia”, published in 2021 in the journal with SCI list: Croatian Journal of Education, Vol. 23, No. 3 (pp. 819-850). She is a mentor to students who have participated and won numerous awards in national and international programming, robotics, and research competitions for primary school students. She has received special awards within the event “Days of Computer Science in Schools of Vojvodina”: for innovations and research in 2022 and for the development of robotics in education in 2021, and three awards as a mentor for students: Talents 2019 and Days of Computer Science in Schools of Vojvodina in 2019 and 2020. She is a co-creator of Zoom events that have covered various types of education.
